Vitamin C
2-grams of Vitamin C added to any IV treatment- $40
10-grams of Vitamin C in 1 liter of Lactated Ringers or Normal Saline-$160
We all live busy, hectic lives. Unfortunately, this means our health often takes a
back seat to our job, family, and obligations outside the home. Simple tasks like taking a daily vitamin supplement often goes overlooked. While randomly taking vitamins is better than skipping them all together, not doing it regularly provides minimal benefits.
Oral vitamin supplements must pass through the GI tract, which can affect their absorption. To avoid the GI tract altogether and improve absorption of the vitamin, you can receive it intravenously; or more commonly known as an IV.
The body needs Vitamin C to help form blood vessels, cartilage, muscle, and collagen in bones. It is vital to your body’s healing process.
It is also an antioxidant which helps protect your cells against damaging free radicals. Free radicals are thought to play a role in heart disease, cancer, and other disease processes.
Recent research has also linked Vitamin C to mood. For instance, those with low levels often report feeling fatigued or depressed. Some studies have shown that people with low levels of Vitamin C found their mood improved after supplementation.
Your body does not produce Vitamin C. You must get it from your diet or supplements.
Recovery Hydration Therapy offers IV Vitamin C infusions. This treatment is offered in either a 2- or 10-gram dose. We recommend adding the 2-gram dose to any of our treatments. The 10-gram dose is administered in a 1-liter bag of Lactated Ringers or Normal Saline, typically without any additional vitamins or minerals.
This treatment only takes about an hour. Take the time to treat your body right! You can book online or call 816-877-6186.
