How do IV fluids work?
The IV drip infusion replenishes fluids, electrolytes, vitamins, and minerals directly into the bloodstream. It bypasses the oral, gastrointestinal tract and allows for more rapid absorption.

We will treat breastfeeding women after consultation and review of your medical history.
What is in the IV?
The IV fluid is Lactated Ringers or Normal Saline. Additional electrolytes, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants may be added if our medical professional feels it is appropriate for your treatment. All treatment protocols are created and updated by the medical director, who is an Emergency Medicine Physician.
What are the side effects?
As with any treatment, side effects can occur. Side effects are usually minor, including but not limited to: bruising, bleeding, and soreness at the site the IV was placed. It is uncommon to develop infection at the site, but it can occur. Side effects of the medications, vitamins and minerals are rare but may include, but not limited to: flushing, itching, rash, allergic reaction, anxiety, and anaphylaxis. Our medical professionals are trained in recognizing and treating any potential side effects.
